The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards is the United States' largest youth recognition program based exclusively on volunteer community service.

Created in 1995 by Prudential Financial in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), the program has honored more than 90,000 young volunteers at the local, state, and national level.

Each program year officially begins in September when information and application instructions will be mailed to all middle level and high schools in the country and to select local organizations.

Congratulations to the 102 State Honorees selected in the 2010 Prudential Spirit Community Awards!! State honorees receive an engraved silver medallion, a cash award of $1,000, and an all-expense-paid trip with a parent or guardian to Washington, D.C., May 1-4, for several days of recognition events.
