It is important that you, as a school leader, use your summer months wisely as you prepare for the upcoming school year. In this blog post written by 2015 NASSP Digital Principal Award winner Dr. Bill Ziegler, you’ll learn how to make the most of your summer by ensuring you take time for a vacation, relate to others, innovate ideas, and invigorate your spirit. If you practice these key principles, you will blossom into a strong principal during the school year.
Since the beginning of the 2014-2015 school year, tens of thousands of students across the country have opted out of federally mandated assessments, which could have major implications for low-income and rural school districts that rely heavily on federal funding. In the latest blog post on the Principal's Policy blog, NASSP Associate Director of Advocacy David Chodak examines the debate over opting out and shares NASSP Executive Director JoAnn Bartoletti's response to this growing movement.
Since 1921, NASSP has been committed to the ongoing development of student leaders through its NHS, NJHS, NEHS and NASC student programs.
