Federal support for public schools is currently under immense threat. Join us right now in sending a message to your members of Congress to advocate for the continued funding and support our schools need. Shadowing Visits With Lawmakers
You know that outstanding school leaders make for outstanding schools, but elected officials don’t always realize the many ways principals create the environment necessary for student success. The most powerful way to convey this message to policymakers is to let them see it for themselves by inviting them to visit your school. Use these resources to extend invitations to your elected officials and plan a visit with them at the school.

School Safety and Support
The Principal Recovery Network (PRN) is a national network of current and former school leaders who have experienced gun violence tragedies in their buildings. Together, the PRN assists principals in the immediate aftermath of a crisis and well beyond. PRN members reach out directly to their colleagues to provide much-needed support, share the combined wisdom of their experience with the larger principal community through various outlets, assist schools during recovery, and advocate for national school safety enhancements and violence prevention programs.

Supporting Student Wellness
These resources help school leaders and educators foster student well-being and promote digital wellness. From teen-led programs to positive online engagement and storytelling through film, the following tools empower communities to create safe, supportive learning environments.
- Work2BeWell: This teen-led mental health program, provides free resources to empower teens, educators, and communities. In partnership with the National Principals Association, it expands access to trusted tools helping school leaders foster wellness, belonging, and reduce stigma around mental health.
- #ICANHELP: This program empowers students and educators to create safe, positive online spaces. Focused on digital wellness, citizenship, and leadership, it equips communities to respond to challenges and promote meaningful connections.
- Hiding in Plain Sight: This documentary explores the journeys of young people navigating mental health challenges. It can be used as a resource to spark conversations about mental health in schools.
