Aspen Institute's NCLB Recommendations

In February 2007, the Aspen Institute's bipartisan Commission on No Child Left Behind released Beyond NCLB: Fulfilling the Promise to Our Nation's Children. The pdf summarizes the commission's recommendations for reauthorizing the law, which is set to expire this year. Where applicable, the bolded bullet point shows how each of the provisions compares to recommendations that NASSP has advanced in four publications: NASSP No Child Left Behind Legislative Recommendations, NASSP Policy Recommendations for Middle Level Reform, NASSP Legislative Recommendations for High School Reform, and What Counts: Defining and Improving High School Graduation Rates.
