Assistant Principals

Welcome to the NASSP Assistant Principal Leadership Center!

NASSP created the National Assistant Principal (AP) Leadership Center to improve the association's capacity to serve the professional development and career advancement needs of secondary school assistant principals everywhere.

The Center focuses on enhancing assistant principals’ job performance and their preparation for the principalship. AP Center programs consist of newly developed programs and adaptations of existing development programs and services.

National Assistant Principals Week

Each April, NASSP joins with the National Association of Elementary School Principals to celebrate National Assistant Principals Week in honor of the contributions made by assistant principals every day to ensure the continued success of students in schools across the United States.
